Refund Policy

A legal disclaimer

The explanations and information provided on this page are only general and high-level explanations and information on how to write your own document of a Refund Policy. You should not rely on this article as legal advice or as recommendations regarding what you should actually do, because we cannot know in advance what are the specific refund policies that you wish to establish between your business and your customers. We recommend that you seek legal advice to help you understand and to assist you in the creation of your own Refund Policy.

Refund Policy - the basics

A Refund Policy is a legally binding document that outlines the relationship between you and your customers regarding refund conditions. Online businesses selling products may need to disclose their return and refund policies based on local laws and regulations. In some jurisdictions, this is essential for compliance consumer protection laws and can help prevent legal claims from unhappy customers. This site provides services under a contract that specifies the refund terms: if a client is dissatisfied, 50% of the fee for hours rendered will be refunded, and 80% of the hours not served will also be refunded, as detailed in the service contract.

What to include in the Refund Policy

Refund Policy typically covers various aspects such as the time limit for requesting a refund, whether the refund will be full or partial, the conditions under which a customer is eligible for a refund, and many other related details.

Payments for the services provided

All services are invoiced and payable in 50% upfront and the balance in 30 days after the completion of the project. These will be invoiced and paid by check.
